Con la produzione artistica di Mono ( FFD), le Roipnol Witch registrano le 13 tracce dell’Album Once upon a time insieme a Davide Cristiani al “Bombanella studio”, sala di incisione persa tra i colli modenesi, dalla quale è stato sfornato anche l’album A2 di Beatrice Antolini. Le Voci di Giuly witch e Lady Marty, sono invece state curate da Olly (The Fire, Shandon). Rescue, il primo singolo che verrà estratto dal disco, vanta la produzione artistica di Livio Magnini (Bluvertigo), mentre il secondo singolo, Karma Love, è stato mixato da Matteo Ciffelli. Once upon a time alterna momenti di alternative rock più melodici a grintose espressioni rock’n’roll, reminescenze 80’s a ballate distorte. Le influenze provengono sia da gruppi e voci femminili come The Organ, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Magneta Lane, Juliette and the Licks, Girl in a coma, Hole ma anche band come Arcade fire, Editors, Cure, Clash.

The Album was recorded at “Bombanella studio” with Davide Cristiani as sound engineer and Mono from FFD, as artistic producer, while the voices recording was managed by Olly from Shandon/ The Fire. Rescue, the firts single, was recorded with the artistic produtcion of Livio Magnini and the second single, Karma Love, was mixed by Matteo Ciffelli. The new album is “Once upon a time”, it’s made up from 13 brand new songs that interchange an alternative rock mood with a recall from 80’s, distorted ballads and rock ‘n’roll. Influences come both from female groups or artists like the Organ, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Magneta Lane, Girl in a Coma, The Hole, Juliette &the Licks, and from male bands, for example Arcade Fire, Editors, Cure and Verdena.
